Offerup
Instantly connect with local buyers and sellers on OfferUp! Buy and sell everything from cars and trucks, electronics, furniture, and more. OfferUp let their employees play games with their customers. Today is April 3rd if you read some of my complaints about the employers that offer up read other people's complaints of OfferUp OfferUp is not take care of their customers they stick up for their employees do nothing about your complaint today they have cut me off of OfferUp that's how OfferUp works if there's a lawyer out there. Time clickers online game.
No answer, no communication, no customer service, no phone numbers. Absolute garbage.
Dint waste your time waiting to hear back from a offer you sent because it is either 4 months old or never been updated as sold. A easy answer would be to mark anything after 7 days sold so others don't waste time to hear back. I can't believe I'm saying this but both Craigslist and FB marketplace are far better options for buying used items or items with the opportunity to negotiate price. Kick rocks offer up. If you wanna put in time and energy to build up an account and then get blocked and removed for no reason and never again get the chance to have your account back, OFFERUP is your platform to waste your time. They are a bunch of money grabbing people who would eat about 13% of every single sale you do on their platform.
After you striving so much to collect positive reviews, the moment they feel you have put your trust in them and rely on the money you make on their website, they will disable your account under the pretext that you 'have another active account' of 'have violated' their rules. And will never provide any document proving your violation!!!!
It's beyond horrible to waste your time using offerup! Offer Up is great because it has a system in place were users are verified, which gives buyers/seller a bit of feeling secure with whom you are dealing with on the site. That is if you carefully scan the site for True members and pass by those many many many seemingly shady postings. My main complaint with offer up is that to many members waste your time with questions, low ball price, make plans to meet then cancel at the last minute. Even is you mention on your post that you mark as 'sold' once sold people still ask 'is it still available?' Or if you mention the price is 'firm' they still offer a lower price or insult you with a ridiculous offer.
In my opinion Offer Up should find a way for users to be more respectful of sellers time and be more serious about what they are interested in buying,Before I sell an item I must get 20-30 text daily. Then when I finally get someone who is serious and we make meet up arrangements I am always thinking they will be a 'No Show', which has happened. Offer Up is not worth the aggravation and stress from people wasting your time with low balling, asking questions already outlined in the posting and last minute cancellations. There should be a way to monitor these people and close their account if there is an excessive pattern of wasting someone's time. I will be cancelling my membership. I post some articles for sale, dirt cheap prices. People spend my time asking 1 million questions, they set up a time to pick up the item and they are a no show.
This happens 90% of the time. It makes me very angry because you can only review people if they buy something. If I could review those people that stood me up they wouldn't be 5 star buyers anymore. So if any of you reading this, don't show after you set up an appointment, you don't call to cancel said appointment, it's you who make this site suck! I have come into contact with several scammers while seeking to purchase a vehicle. I have reported each and every one.
Somehow, they continue to post bogus vehicles for sale, while asking for money for vehicles up front. I wonder why OfferUp continues to allow these people to post with their personal email addresses, although they warn consumers to only deal with posters in the app. Why not flag all posters who try to use personal email? I have no confident in OfferUp. They allow the scams to continue. Please be aware of vehicle purchasing.
I was in the market for a vehicle and thought I would go on OfferUp to find something affordable with no payments. I messaged the seller and I receive a email telling me they're selling the vehicle for someone else to contact them and I did. I get a email from that person saying they travel a lot and you have to send the money through eBay with no test drive. I told them the ad states it's in a city that I'm near why can't I go look at it and they kept coming up with so many excuses. Also they changed their name 2 times and also deleted their profile pic after I called them out for scamming and they never responded back.
I also reported this to OfferUp and they still have the vehicle up for sale. I sent them the emails and everything. The price was to good to be true anyways so that's another way you can tell it's a scam. The actual process of posting a listing is fairly easy, however, there are some oddities. Weird thing #1: your allowed shipping price is based solely and only on the item price.#2: The maximum allowed listing value is only $500. This part was weird to me.#3: you can view, use, and buy on the website or phone, but if you want to list, you can only use your phone.
This was both infuriating and a bit stupid. I give this site a rating of 3/5 and its only redeeming itself because of the buying experience, otherwise it would get a solid 1.5/5. Way too difficult to deal with. Need an android or what ever phone texting, apps. Follow the crazy path to facebook.
Do this do that. Too many steps just to list an item? Craigs list is easy 123. They wont return a call you cant leave a message.
They can hide behind the computer screen detached customer service. Whos got time to deal with going back and forth to get signed up? Its a bunch of baloney. Another ridiculous company. If your a robot and want to deal with texting and cell phones all day long. Not a normal life.
Some goof ball came up with this website just to list an item? Wont ever use them. We actually really liked Offerup. It was a great service and we were able to buy and sell a lot of thing. My husband built up some great reviews (5 star w/ abtou 40-50 reviews). There was one incident during the holidays where we sold a recently purchased record player to a woman.
I still had the receipt from Best Buy and it was in perfect working condition. The woman reached out during a week time period in which we were in rural Montana and completely out of reach. She threw a significant fit and called us scammers and was so incredibly offense in her responses because it wasn't working. I get that it was emotional and she was frustrated but we literally did not get her messages because this was during the holidays and we were offline. When we finally got back online and back to California, we tried to reach out to her to give her a refund she had blocked us and apparently had offerup block us.
Swarm Queen is inspired by real-life insects. This is what a war between ant colonies might look like IN SPACE! Over 17. different beautifully hideous minions to murder the enemy with, from electricity-shooting shell-covered beasts, to flying bat-like bomb-carriers. (Technically, we are also in space.).
I reached out to them SEVERAL times as well as her to resolve and explain the situation and offer a full refund but nothing. Offerup would not respond or even open back up the account even with all of our 5 star reviews.
I understand how the misunderstanding happened but Offerup won't even respond.even to help us make things right. I don't think they're a 1 star actual product because they were fine as a product but terrible for service.

Customer service needs work.Offer up is an excellent app. It’s very easy to use. It’s fun to use! Customer Service however— needs a little work as of December 2017.
I had an issue with a paid for feature called “bumps” which put your items above other sellers ads so your items are seen first. It’s a really nice feature. I paid for two but only received one. So I sent an email to the address listed on the app.
I didn’t get a reply, so about a week later I sent another email. I still didn’t get a reply. Then by chance while using the app, a question came on screen asking if I liked the app or something on those lines.
I explained my situation regarding the issue and how there had been no reply. I asked to please have Customer Service contact me. Within a week or two the issue was fixed. It was frustrating to not find customer service contact info on the app (most apps have this) causing me to have to go search for it here where apps are sold. There’s a “frequently asked questions” area on the app, but no email address or contact form.
It was also frustrating not getting a reply. About a week after the issue had been fixed, (they didn’t tell me, I just happened to find out) customer service finally contacted me.
At that point I no longer needed help. It would be great if there was a contact form or email address on the app and getting a reply would be good as well. That aside, it’s a great app for buying and selling items. I found it very easy to use! Respuesta del desarrollador,Hi there,Thank you for the update. We are here to help. TH3DARKWINGDUCK, LOUSY RATING SYSTEM!I am giving 1 star solely because you can only rate people IF and After they buy something from you. The reviews are only good things too like “friendly” “on time” reliable” but nothing saying “over 1 hour late” or “missed multiple meet up times.” There is no way to rate the guy who missed 6 different meet up times on 3 different days then never replies after that until you say you’re going to sell it to someone else then get a reply of insults. There’s no way to warn users of people like that. I love this app don’t get me wrong but I have lost LOTS of money and more time waiting on people who show up hours later then offer a lower offer.
For example agrees to the $100 item then shows up offering $20 with the excuse of “take it or leave or it its all I got on me and we can do this right now I can take it off your hands or you can find someone else.” At that point I leave and wonder why THAT person has a stellar “reliable” “friendly” “On Time” rating. This time wasted ultimately leads to other offers no longer interested or they simply bought the same item from someone else instead. Please top chiefs at OfferUp please make it so you can rate these scammers and time wasters. Simply reporting and blocking someone does not work because they just do it to the next person who falls victim of their positive rating.
Respuesta del desarrollador,Hi there, thank you for your review and feedback. Please email us from the account associated with OfferUp at socialcare@offerup.com so we can look into your account and address your concerns about the experience with the OfferUp app. ColorBumpkin, UpdatesEdited review: The messaging is still glitchy with latest update, but is no longer the most annoying thing on the app, so in a sense congratulations I guess?? Since the latest update, the 'Watching' section has changed to creating boards, I'm assuming to compete with Pinterest, which is completely unnecessary. In consequence, the coding got changed and now I have over 300 'saves' I have to delete in the 'Quick Save' of things I saved over 2 years ago that have since been sold or unlisted. This wouldn't be as annoying if as soon as something was 'unhearted' it didn't go back to the top of the list, which it now currently does.
Whoever did the coding for this section obviously doesn't use it or doesn't care if it's clean with only available items or has an insane amount of downtime on their hands. Not sure why but a few days after an update it gets glitchy. For example, the last update was 5/9/17 and now I can't share an item. The messaging portion of the app needs help. Maybe start from scratch, I don't know, but it's always glitchy, recent update or not. It doesn't automatically load a new message especially when you're in that thread, you have to go out and go back in the thread. I get the cash register noise and I have to go to the messages page and slide down to refresh messages to get the new ones to come through. Especially annoying when you're trying to coordinate with a buyer/seller.
