Tips On How to Beat the Last Boss
In general, you will have to upgrade your gears and wear HP enhancing items to take some damage from the boss. After that, the most balanced class setup usually do the best against bosses in Knights of Pen & Paper.
Strategy 1:
The easiest way is to make sure that your heroes have enough HP to avoid one shot. Then you can use bard and cleric for their group heals to keep your team alive. However, you must have at least 1~2 damage dealer to keep up your damage output to kill the boss.
Strategy 2:
Use Paladin to tank the damage while your damage dealers such as mage, hunter and rogue do the DPS. Use 1 Cleric to heal your paladin.
Personally I think a Grandma Warrior with very high Taunt makes a great Tank. I've seen guides in which they said just level up Taunt the first ten times as it's more useful then the other skills. I also use Strike a lot and sometimes Hard skin.
For the mage I have Mana Stream very high so I can just keep spamming Fireball. The Meteor is very powerful too against large groups of enemies, but it doesn't do Damage over Time and I that really helps. Still trying to figure out how to make a good Rogue. It always keeps running out of Mana for me, so I've just decided to upgrade Poison the next few levels so that even if I have low Mana I can still do decent damage. I personally don't see much benefit from the Vanish skill, but that might just be a little bad luck. I also tend to use the Double Strike more then the Concussion Blow because I encounter more and more enemies that don't get Stunned/Disabled mid-game.So to sum it all up. The Passive skills are great if you want a strong Tank and high DPS Mage and Rogue.Note.
I'm a bit of a noob to the genre and this game. So better players might disagree. But since the forum isn't very active I'd thought I'd share the little knowledge I do have:). I've been doing pretty much the same. When I said build I actually meant what items.Rogue: critical strike items. Double strike and a bit passive. I tried upgrading vanish at lvl 25 to have more critical strikeTank: health and resistance items.
Passive+strike, a few points in the shieldMage: Magic items. Fireball, Passive and a bit meteor, but i still don't see the damage output of meteor. I keep the freezing low so I won't lose too much mana when no need of high damageHealer: I use gold income items because i think the heal is high enough and i use a lot the weakening which is way too awesome. I put points later on in circle of healing. The smite is only good early.Druid: He is pretty strong too. A lot of points in MP regen spell early, then the health which is pretty good, and later on the damage. I did also put 5 points in hibernation which is awesome too.I don't really know for his items too so i put xp and gold items.A technique I use is concussion+freeze the first ennemies who will next attack me so i can weaken the others and put as many of them into hybernation.
So i can have 7 monsters really high level where 4 of them are in hybernation and the three others are weaken and only deal 1 damage to my tank. The other possibility is to weaken 6 of them and kill or hybernate the other one. The fights last a bit longer but are still really safe. The rogue has the most damage output for me.
