We are crazy about vocal music – a cappella, meaningwith no instrumental accompaniment. Since 2016, we have invited many top vocal groups to our Prague A Cappella Festival, such as Rajaton, Cluster, Cadence, VOXID, Jazzation, The Quintessence, Mezzotono and others. Now we are facing our greatest challenge yet. We want to bring the legendary group Perpetuum Jazzile for the first time ever! One of the best pop choirs in the world. Without your boost to get started, we can’t do it.

What is our goal?

If we manage to collect our target amount, Perpetuum Jazzile will perform in Prague’s Forum Karlín on September 23 2020. The opening band will be the vocal group SKETY and we are talking to other guest performers, too.

Who is Perpetuum Jazzile?

A Slovenian choir of top pop and jazz singers. The group formed in 1983 and rose to fame thanks to a video of their live performance of Africa by rock band Toto, which now has 22 million views on YouTube. Together, their videos have almost 70 million views, and they boast 140 thousand fans on Facebook.

Slovenian group Perpetuum Jazzile will perform in Fórum Karlín on 23/9/2020 during their European tour, but only if we manage to sell enough tickets before Christmas.

We don’t want to just jump into organizing this show, so if we see on HitHit that there are enough people interested, the concert is happening. If not, you’ll have your money back by Christmas, but it would be a shame! Join us, then! Buy tickets for yourself and your loved ones, maybe as Christmas gifts. If you convince your friends to get in with us, the chance will increase a lot that you won’t have to travel 650 km to see PJ (like us) 😁. If we hit the target amount, we will still be “in the red”, however, we will be sure that we can manage with ordinary ticket presales.

Who are we?

Mainly, we are the production team of SKETY vocal band. Since 2016, we organize the Prague A Cappella Festival, comprising concerts and workshops. We have presented many of our Czech colleagues, but also foreign vocal formations like Rajaton, Cluster, Jazzation, The Quintessence, Cadence, VOXID, Mezzotono and other. As individuals, we regularly take part in large concert and event productions in technical and production roles. And believe us when we say that we want this one to be our magnum opus!

Perpetuum Jazzile is a Slovenian choir that performs jazz and popular music. It was founded as Gaudeamus Chamber Choir in 1983 by Marko Tiran. In 2001, Tiran passed the art directorship of the choir to Tomaž Kozlevčar, the renowned music producer, arranger and vocalist, who was followed by Peder Karlsson ten years later.The choir consists of both female and male singers. They are occasionally augmented by jazz instrumentalists from the RTV Slovenia Big Band and Slovenian pop stars such as Alenka Godec, 6Pack Čukur, Alya, Oto Pestner, Jan Plestenjak, Nuša Derenda and others.The choir uses a wide spectrum of jazz styles, performing complex and dense harmonies, characteristic of close harmony music. They were originally inspired by Gene Puerling, The Singers Unlimited, and The Swingle Singers. They perform bossa nova and swing music, as well as funk, gospel and pop, either a cappella with vocal percussionist Sašo Vrabič aka. Multitask, or with a jazz trio.Perpetuum Jazzile organized a vocal jazz seminar in Ljubljana with Swingle Singers founder Ward Swingle. It has won awards from the Vokal.Total and IVGF international jazz vocal music competitions, and the Choir Olympics 2008 in Graz, Austria. It performs Vokal Xtravaganzza evening concerts in Cankar Hall in Ljubljana, every Fall, offering a variety of Slovenian and foreign vocal jazz and pop music guests.
